I’ve been happy to have the opportunity to work with Animal Humane New Mexico on various design projects. Consequently, I got my cat, Pete, from AHNM.
Recently while meeting at AHNM to discuss some sinage to redesign, we noticed how “institutional” the kennel building looked. It almost looked like a prison. So I had this idea that we could throw a painting party. Get some paint donated, get some
volunteers and the rest is history.
Painting for the Pooches Painting Party (2009)
Organized volunteers to paint the outside of a 7500 square foot kennel building at AHNM on 2 separate weekends. This included getting a local paint company to donate over $2000 in paint and supplies, recruiting volunteers, getting food and drinks donated for the event and overseeing the volunteers.
